The Constitution Day of Ukraine is one of the most significant holidays in our country in terms of the state-building process. It is a historic day: On June 28, 1996, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the new Constitution of Ukraine - the first Constitution of the independent Ukrainian state. The adoption of the Constitution consolidated the legal basis of independent Ukraine, its sovereignty, and territorial integrity. According to the Constitution, the day of adoption of the Basic Law is a public holiday - the Constitution Day of Ukraine.
